Power-packed for carnivores. Made with premium fish and krill meal, our pellets deliver the high protein your Oscars, Jack Dempseys, and other predators crave—without cheap fillers or artificial dyes. Just pure, sustainable nutrition for serious fishkeepers.

Feed 2–3 times daily.

Portion by size:

  • Small to medium cichlids -1–2 pellets per fish, per feeding
  • Large cichlids (Oscars, Jack Dempseys, large Jaguars) -6–10 pellets per feeding

Adjust for species, size and activity level. A juvenile growing fast eats more often than a settled adult. Feed only what your fish can finish in 2–3 minutes, then remove anything left over -uneaten pellets are the fastest route to poor water quality.

If your Oscar refuses it at first

This is normal, and it's the single most common thing we hear. Oscars are intelligent, opinionated, and if they've been raised on live or frozen food -bloodworm, feeder fish, krill -they will often hold out for it rather than accept a pellet. Refusal is a behavioural habit, not a sign the food is wrong.

What works:

  • Fast for 24–48 hours before you introduce it. A healthy adult Oscar is in no danger from a short fast, and appetite does most of the persuading for you.
  • Offer at the usual feeding time and place. Drop a small number of pellets -four or five -and leave them. Don't stand over the tank.
  • Don't cave. If you go back to frozen food after two days of refusal, you've taught your Oscar that holding out works. Most owners who succeed report acceptance somewhere between day 3 and day 10.
  • Mix, if you'd rather go gradually. Feed a reduced portion of their usual food alongside a few pellets, and shift the ratio a little every few days over two to three weeks.
  • Pre-soak for 30 seconds in tank water if your fish is mouthing and spitting. Softer pellets are easier for a fish that's used to soft food.

Once an Oscar takes it, they generally stay on it.

FISHKEEPER QUESTIONS

Everything Cichlid owners ask first

  • We believe plant fillers don’t belong in cichlid food. Predatory omnivores like Oscars, Jack Dempseys, and Green Terrors thrive on protein—not cheap plant ingredients that inflate protein numbers without delivering real nutrition. Those fillers can cause bloating, excess waste, and cloudy water. That’s not how we feed our fish, and it’s not how we’ll feed yours.

Instead, our formula is built on premium marine and insect proteins, highly digestible and closer to what cichlids eat in the wild. Yes, we use a small amount of wheat and rice flour—but not as filler. It’s just enough to keep the pellets firm and sinking at the right pace, so your cichlids can feed the way nature intended.

  • 🐟 Wild shrimp, krill & Pacific whiting
    Complete, carnivore-friendly protein

🪱 Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL)
    Insect protein Bettas love

    🌈 Natural color enhancers
    Spirulina, marigold, paprika & astaxanthin

    😊 Gut-friendly prebiotics
From yeast — supports digestion, reduces waste

    💊 Complete vitamin complex
For energy, color, and long-term health

    🍚 Wheat binder
Just enough to bind the pellet — no corn, soy, or peas. Ever.

  • Proudly made in the USA with only the highest quality ingredients.

  • Feed 2–3 times daily.

Offer 1–2 pellets per small to medium fish per feeding, or 6–10 pellets for larger fish such as Oscars.

Adjust amounts based on species size and activity level.

Feed only what your fish can consume within 2–3 minutes to avoid overfeeding and maintain water quality.

  • Yep—they’re designed to sink at just the right pace.

Cichlids like Oscars, Jack Dempseys, and Green Terrors aren’t surface nibblers—they prefer to chase and strike food mid-water or near the bottom.

Our pellets are firm enough to hold their shape, but soft enough to digest easily, giving your fish the feeding experience (and nutrition) they’re built for.

  • Delivery times vary depending on your location, but we strive to get your order to you within 3-5 business days. You’ll receive tracking information once your order is on its way.
